Lighting The Oaks homes
The Oaks, out toward Black Cat and McMillan, is some of the newest housing in north Meridian. The rooflines are long, straight and generously proportioned, which is a gift for a lighting display and unforgiving of sloppy work. Bulbs spaced by eye on a run that long are visibly uneven from the sidewalk.
Every strand for these homes is measured and cut before install day, so the spacing holds from the first clip to the last and nothing gets doubled back at a corner. On a neighborhood of similar elevations, that precision is what makes one house look professionally done.
The landscaping is still young here, so trees are usually too small to wrap. Wrapped entry columns, a gable wreath scaled to the elevation and lit shrubs supply the mid-height layer instead. Without that, a tall new home lit only at the roof looks like a floating line.
Most homes in The Oaks are on a shared association standard. Uniform color, hidden cords and a timer keep a display comfortably inside typical rules, and we set the timer with you rather than leaving it on a default.

The Oaks questions
- Why does my new home look plain with just a roofline?
- There is nothing between the lawn and the roof yet. Columns, a gable wreath and lit shrubs add the middle layer your young landscaping cannot.
- Will this pass our HOA rules?
- Typically yes — uniform color, concealed cords and a consistent timer cover most association requirements. Send us your guidelines and we will work to them.
- How early does north Meridian book?
- Early. The first half of November is usually gone by mid-October, so late September is the safe time to call.
Services we bring to The Oaks
- Rooflines, peaks & gutter linesRoofline lighting is the backbone of almost every display we install: custom-cut strands clipped along your gutters, eaves and peaks so the lines read straight from the street.
- Trees, shrubs & wrapsWrapped trunks, lit canopies and glowing shrub beds give the front of a house depth that a roofline alone cannot — especially on wide or flat lots.
- Wreaths, garland & columnsWreaths, garland and wrapped columns are the detail work that makes an entry feel finished, and they are what photographs best up close.
- RGBW smart-controlled C9 bulbsOur RGBW smart-controlled C9 bulbs give you app-controlled color and patterns on a seasonal display that still comes down and gets stored in January.
