- Do you install permanent holiday lighting?
- No. We install seasonal displays using smart-controlled RGBW C9 bulbs, and we take them down and store them each January. If you want a permanent track system, you will need a company that specializes in them.
- Can I still change colors with a seasonal install?
- Yes. Our RGBW C9 bulbs are smart-controlled, so you can change colors, set zones and schedule scenes from an app during the season.
- What does RGBW mean, and why does it matter?
- Each bulb carries red, green and blue diodes plus a separate dedicated white one. The dedicated white gives you a clean warm white instead of the slightly blue or gray white you get from mixing colored diodes, so classic all-white displays look right.
- Will a permanent system hurt my roof or fascia?
- Installed properly it should not, but it is fastened to the house, so mounting holes and track marks remain if it is ever removed. That is worth weighing before you commit, and it is a question to put to any permanent-system installer in writing.
- Is permanent lighting cheaper over time?
- It can be, since there is no annual install fee once it is paid for. Whether it actually works out depends on how many years you stay in the home and whether controllers or sections need replacing along the way.
