What's Included in a Professional Christmas Light Install

Your quote covers the lights, the design, the install, season-long maintenance, January takedown and storage. There is nothing extra to buy.

Comparing holiday lighting quotes is hard because companies package things differently. Some quote installation only and let you supply the lights. Some charge separately for takedown. Some do not include repairs.

Here is exactly what is inside a quote from us, so you know what you are comparing against.

The lights are ours, and they are commercial grade

We supply heavy-duty C9 and mini-light strands built to survive an Idaho winter — not big-box lights that quit in January. Because we own them, we can guarantee them, and because we reuse and maintain our own inventory, quality actually matters to us.

This is also why we do not install homeowner-supplied lights. We cannot stand behind hardware we did not choose, and mixed-age strands are the single most common reason a display looks uneven.

Custom-cut strands and a design walk-through

Every strand is measured and built to your specific rooflines, peaks and columns before install day. That is the difference between a crisp line and a strand that runs out three feet short of the corner.

Before any of that, we walk the property with you, talk through warm white versus multicolor, and map out the look. No pressure, no obligation.

  • On-site or photo-based design consult
  • Measured rooflines, peaks, columns and railings
  • Strands built to length in our shop
  • Timer set and dialed in on install day

Season-long maintenance at no extra charge

Wind happens here. If a strand goes out or something works loose, you call us and we come back out and fix it. There is no service fee and no argument about whether it is covered — maintenance is included for the whole season.

Takedown and storage in January

Takedown starts in early January, weather permitting. We pull everything down, and then we store your lights until next season, so your garage stays yours. Nothing goes into a bin in your attic.

What is not included

We are honest about the edges. Electrical work beyond plugging into an existing exterior outlet is not part of a lighting quote — if you need an outlet added, that is an electrician. Extreme-access work on very steep or very high roofs may affect the quote, and we will tell you before we start rather than after.

Common questions

Is takedown really included?
Yes, along with storage. It is part of the quote, not an add-on billed in January.
Can I use my own lights?
No. We install our own commercial-grade LEDs so we can guarantee the look and the repairs.
What if a bulb burns out in December?
Call us and we will come fix it at no charge. That is what season-long maintenance means.
Do I own the lights after the season?
No — we own, maintain and store them, which is why maintenance and replacements are included.
