Why We Install RGBW Smart C9 Bulbs Instead of Permanent Systems
We do not install permanent track systems. We install RGBW smart-controlled C9 bulbs each season, which give you app-controlled color without a permanent channel screwed to your fascia.
Permanent holiday lighting has gotten a lot of advertising in the Treasure Valley, so we get asked about it constantly. We want to be straight with you: we do not install permanent systems, and this is not a page trying to talk you out of one.
What we install is RGBW smart-controlled C9 bulbs, seasonally, with maintenance, takedown and storage included. Here is what each approach actually gets you.
What RGBW smart C9 bulbs do
C9 is the large, traditional bulb shape — the one that reads like Christmas from the street. RGBW means each bulb can mix red, green and blue along with a dedicated white channel, so you get real warm white instead of an approximation, plus any color you want.
They are controlled from your phone. You pick warm white for the holidays, orange for Halloween, blue and white for a game, or a slow color fade if you want the display to move.

Where permanent systems win
Credit where it is due. A permanent system is mounted once and stays, so there is no annual install date to schedule and nothing to take down. If you want accent lighting available year round with zero seasonal coordination, that is a real advantage.

Where permanent systems have real drawbacks
The tradeoffs are the reason we do not offer them. A permanent system means a channel fastened along your fascia or roofline for good, visible in daylight for the eleven months you are not using it. Repairs mean working on hardware attached to your house, and HOAs in parts of Eagle and Meridian have opinions about visible permanent hardware.
The bulbs are also small — usually a dot-style diode inside a track, not a C9. It is a modern look, not a traditional one, and if what you pictured was big classic bulbs along the roof, a track system will not deliver it.

How we would frame the decision
If you want year-round accent lighting and do not mind permanent hardware, a permanent system is a reasonable choice — just not one we install. If you want a traditional C9 display with modern color control, nothing on the house in July, and a crew that maintains it, takes it down and stores it, that is what we do.

- No. Every strand is clipped to shingles or gutters using clips made for the purpose. We never use staples or nails.
